Skin Boosters:

This hydrating treatment involves hydrating microinjections of a soft, gel-like substance called Hyaluronic Acid (HA) into the skin, which improves the skin’s firmness, elasticity and radiance. Water-loving HA is found naturally in the body where it maintains hydration in the skin. As we age, the quality of our HA diminishes over time. Now you have the opportunity to replenish and maintain natural hydration levels from within as the stabilised HA in Skin boosters.

Skinboosters can be used to treat a range of areas including the face, neck, decolletage and hands. They are most commonly used on the lower face, and are a perfect treatment for smokers lines. Skinboosters work to improve skin texture and hydration around the mouth, chin, and lower cheek. Skinboosters are extremely effective at reducing the appearance of acne scarring and revitalising dehydrated skin.

What can you expect?

During

On each visit your doctor will administer a series of tiny, fine-needle injections into the mid to deep dermis (the underlying layer of the skin.) These micro injections will focus on your problem areas. During the procedure, some people experience a certain level of discomfort. Each treatment session usually takes around 20-30 mins.

After

You should expect that there will be some minor bruising and swelling around the treatment areas for a day or two afterwards. The doctor will discuss all of this with you in the consultation* beforehand. Your practitioner may recommend a clean cooling pad to help reduce swelling. Avoid applying make-up on your skin immediately after the treatment. After 24 hours, if needed, you can use light make-up to cover any redness or bruising. Avoid excessive sun or extreme cold at least until any initial swelling/ redness resolves.

The Million Dollar Facial works the skin from the outside, in and is designed to deeply exfoliate dead skin cells and remove non-terminal hair (peachy fuzz), polish the skin, flush toxins, increase and stimulate natural collagen production and cell turnover. The facial method heavily increases the absorption of products to 80% as opposed to 8%.

What can you expect?

The facial starts with a double cleanse to remove any makeup/dirt, then we tone the skin before beginning the Dermaplane. The Dermaplaning then removes any dead skin cells and non-terminal hair to reveal a fresh layer of skin. Then a Lymphatic drainage massage is performed to flush out any toxins. We then perform the Microneedling before applying the Hylaronic mask too soothe the skin. Finally, SPF and serum are applied and the treatment is done. Initially, clients may experience some redness which lasts roughly 12 hours and there is no downtime required. The treatment takes roughly 1 to 1.5 hours.

Aquagold ® finetouch ™ is a patented gold-plated micro-injection system that painlessly delivers a bespoke cocktail of ingredients that we’ve chosen and tailored especially to reach your skin goals. This single use applicator contains a reservoir that can be filled with vitamins, enzymes, hormones plant extracts, micro quantities of ‘botox’ and fillers, growth factors for cellular renewal and PRP,  pigment reducers, mesotherapy or stem cells, whatever your skin needs! Chemical Peels

Chemical Peels:

Chemical peels use acid (there are different types) to break down the top layer, or layers, of skin to help diminish the look of fine lines, wrinkles and uneven skin tone.

What can you expect?

The ‘Superficial Peel’: These are the mildest of the bunch, as they require little downtime. You may experience some redness for 20 minutes to half an hour afterward, and you may experience some dryness or flaking over the course of a few days, but otherwise, you can get back to business as usual. Typical acids used in superficial peels include glycolic, salicylic, kojic acid and malic acid. Superficial peels are good for treating fine lines and wrinkles, large pores and dark spots, and to help tighten the skin.

The ‘Medium Depth Peel’: generally use trichloroacetic acid at concentrations of 35 percent or less. These types of peels usually use a pure form of the acid that isn’t neutralized, so this treatment is only available with medically trained professionals, like Dr Tara. Medium-depth peels can help treat skin that has a significant amount of photodamage, sun spots, mild to moderate acne scars, wrinkly skin under the eyes or dark circles. The recovery period is five to seven days. The skin is left raw and red, and needs to be constantly covered with ointment, though it shouldn’t be painful.

The ‘Deep Peel’: targets more serious skin issues such as severe acne scars, excessive sun damage or looseness of the skin, also uses trichloroacetic acid, though at concentrations starting at 50 percent to 70 percent, or phenol acid. Deep-depth peels may not be suitable for those with darker skin tones, as they could result in scarring or hypopigmentation. Typical downtime is about seven to 10 days, but could even last two weeks.

How does the Lipofirm PRO treatment work?

This, triple action fat reduction system consists of radiofrequency skin tightening which is achieved by a deep volumetric heating of the skin, combined with a muscle contraction process as well as an external mechanical force, which together offers more effective long term body shaping. How to prepare for treatment

To best prepare for your treatment, and minimise swelling and bruising we recommend:

• Avoid blood thinning over-the-counter medications such as Aspirin, Motrin, Ibuprofen, and Aleve one week prior to injections.
• Avoid supplements, including St. John’s Wort, gingko biloba, primrose oil, garlic, ginseng, and Vitamin E for one week prior to injections.
• Avoid topical products such as Tretinoin (Retin-A), Retinol, Retinoids, Glycolic Acid 2 days prior
• Avoid waxing, bleaching, tweezing, or hair removal cream on the area to be treated for 2 days prior.
• Do not drink alcoholic beverages 24 hours prior.
• Start taking Arnica a few days prior to the procedure. (This is not required, but can help to lessen bruising).
• If you have previously suffered from facial cold sores, there is a risk that the needle punctures could contribute to another eruption of cold sores. Please let us know if you are prone and we can offer advice.
• Dr Tara cannot treat you if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, are allergic to any ingredients, or suffer from neurological disorders.
